After several preview versions, Microsoft has officially released Office 2019, now in a stable version. This means you can download and use it immediately without worrying about fatal errors, as might have been the case in the beta versions. However, I regret to inform you that, according to the disclosures, Microsoft Office 2019 is only compatible with Windows 10 or later.
If you are using Windows 8, 8.1, or older versions, you will not be able to install it. Personally, I’m not a fan of Microsoft’s strategy to push users to upgrade to Windows 10. In my opinion, Office 2016 remains a viable choice for casual users at this moment.

If you don’t have Office 2019 already, you can visit the official Microsoft homepage and select the version you want for the official download link.
Installing Office 2019 without a Product Key
Once the download process is complete, you will receive an img file. Simply open it and run the setup file to install Office 2019 on your PC. This process may take a while, so please be patient. Upon successful installation, you can open any Office program to verify some basic information.
Simply skip the “enter product key” window by clicking the close button at the top right corner. As you can see, I am using Office Professional Plus 2019, and the trial license will expire in 7 days.
Activating Office 2019 using a KMS License Key
Method 1: Running Commands Manually Step by Step
- Open Command Prompt in Administrator Mode: First, open the command prompt with administrative rights. Then, follow the instructions below step by step. Simply copy and paste the commands, and don’t forget to press Enter to execute them.
- Open the Location of the Office Installed on Your PC:

It depends on the architecture of the Windows OS you are using. If you’re not sure, just run both commands above. One of them will not be executed, and an error message will be displayed on the screen.
